Aleasol RAPID
POWDER
10 to 25 g/hl, depending on the phytosanitary state of the grapes.
Take care not to exceed the legal limits for sulfur dioxide content.
Current EU regulations specify the following limits, expressed as total SO2:
(a) 160 mg/l for red wines;
(b) 210 mg/l for white and rosé wines;
(c) 185 mg/l for quality sparkling wines and VSQPRDs
(d) 235 mg/l for sparkling wines.
For non-sparkling wines with residual sugar content, expressed as invert sugar, of 5 g/l or more, the limits become as follows:
(a) 210 mg/l for red wines;
(b) 260 g/l for white and rosé wines.
1 g of ALEASOL RAPID provides approximately 3 mg/l of SO2.
Appearance: homogeneous white powder, with an odor of SO2
ALEASOL RAPID acts as a regulator of fermentation, enhancing the action of selected yeasts and inhibiting wild yeasts. The antimicrobial action of metabisulfite and proper yeast nutrition provided by ammonium salts prevent any fermentation arrests.
E224 Potassium Metabisulfite (60%), Ammonium Phosphate Bibasic (22%), Ammonium Sulfate (18%).
The use of ALEASOL RAPID is particularly recommended if the phytosanitary state of the grapes is not optimal.
Dissolve ALEASOL RAPID in water, at a ratio of 1:10, then add it into the mass to be treated, homogenizing thoroughly.
