Activated sodium calcium bentonite
Appearance: grey, odourless powder.
ALEABENT C It is an activated sodium-calcium bentonite, characterized by a notable dispersing power, a low lees and a good deproteinizing power. It is particularly indicated where a higher sedimentation speed is required together with an excellent clarifying power.
Thanks to its negative surface charge, it has an adsorption action on colloidal substances with a positive charge, promoting their elimination through decanting or filtration.
ALEABENT C It can be applied to musts and wines, in order to reduce the protein content and improve the stability of the product, without negatively influencing the organoleptic characteristics of the treated wines.
If used in fermentation it promotes the compaction of the lees and has an inhibiting action on oxidative enzymes (laccase and oxidase) which can compromise the regular fermentation process and the quality of the finished product.
ALEABENT C It is particularly advantageous with regard to the speed of preparation during the wine and must processing phases.
30-150 g/hl on wines and musts, depending on the desired action
To avoid over-gluing phenomena and obtain optimal clarifications, it is advisable to carry out preventive clarification tests in order to identify the optimal dosage..
To melt ALEABENT C in water, in a ratio of 1:10, taking care to dissolve the product well. Leave to swell for 1-3 hours then add to the mass slowly and homogeneously, during a closed reassembly using a dosing pump or a venturi tube.
